Dr. Yi Isabelle Sun
Founder, President/CEO

Dr. Sun has over 15 years of experience in healthcare industry, both in a large global corporation and a small entrepreneurial firm. She brings a rich-blend of experience in technology/marketing/business development and quality systems.

Prior to Sunfire, Dr. Sun was the Vice President of Business Development and Operations at HInnovation Inc., a rapidly growing healthcare IT company, in charge of business, application, market development, and quality process. She directed product/application development and introduction of HInnovation's first product line, and successfully established partnerships with several world-renowned clinical sites and global businesses.

Prior to HInnovation, Dr. Sun was the Marketing Manager of Advanced Development of the Global MR Business at General Electric Medical Systems (GEMS), responsible for global advanced technology and applications development. During 1998-1999, she was the business/market development member of the GE Cardiovascular MR (CVMR) business team, and successfully led the clinical applications and market development of the CVMR system. Between 1990 and 1997, Dr. Sun worked in various positions at GE, including Senior Applications Scientist, Systems Engineer, and Software Systems Engineer, responsible for introducing many new products. While working at GE, she obtained 6 Sigma Greenbelt certificate, was recognized with GE innovation awards, GE business driver award, and GE management award.

Dr. Sun obtained her Bachelor's degree in Physics from Peking University and PhD degree in Physics from The University of Michigan.
